Elle Japan!

Happy Monday Morning!

I received an awesome email last night just as I was getting ready to zonk out.
One of our past brides, Kaitlyn forwarded a message from her wedding photographer,
the ever talented Daniel Kiyoi .
Apparently, Kaitlyn and Chad's wedding had made it into the pages of Elle Mariage, Japan!
SO cool.
Neither of us can read any of the Japanese characters
(would love to get the translation from anyone who is fluent in Japanese),
but it is super exciting for them and us never-the-less!

Enjoy the pages below and if anyone is heading over to Japan sometime soon,
we would love to get an actual copy or two of the magazine! :)

Cheers!

Enjoy all the beautiful images from incredibly talented photographers including Jeff himself.
We are beyond thrilled!

It is also a perfect time to officially welcome Tamara Kesser to the TOAST family

Tamara has been working with TOAST for the past two years and
is such an incredible asset to the team.

And as you can tell from the image below…we don't get along at all… ;)

Captured on Film and featured on Wedding Chicks!

We're having a little Santa Barbara Film Festival of our own this week at the TOASTer! Okay fine, so Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese are not making appearances.. But it's always fun for us to look back at the weddings we've worked on and see them come back to life in video form. This week we've got two! Two very different, but individually unique weddings from over the past year.
The first, a rustic ranch wedding in the middle of summer, of one of our lovely own, Juliann and her husband, Mike. Full of color, sunshine, and plenty of fun. The other, an elegant estate wedding towards the end of fall to compliment our D.C. couple, Lindsey and Brooke.

Grab some popcorn.. and a glass of champagne (our favorite combo) and enjoy!

Cheers!!

In C Wedding Magazine!

Hello.

I'm still trying to figure out what to wear in this non-winter-winter weather…..
We go from hot to cold and cold to hot…..help!
One person who has no problem figuring out what to wear is
Caroline Diani of Diani Boutique and Diani Shoes.
Not only was her wedding featured on Style Me Pretty last week, it also made an appearance in the
Spring issue of C Weddings Magazine!
We LOVED working with Caroline and Jeffrey, so to see the images in print is an absolute treat.  Make sure to go out and pick up a copy for yourself!

You can find more over on Caroline's blog, Diani Living.

Cheers!

Happy New Year!!!

Ok, ok, Happy End of January! I have NO idea what happened to this month- I'm telling you, 2014 is on a mission to sprint its way to December! We've been so busy since January 1, there has been no time for resolutions, no time for diets (which is fine by us…we love food way too much over here), no time for….who knows??? What day is it again?

Anyway…..We've been waiting with baited breath for the following images to come out.  We had the pleasure of having the opportunity to work alongside one of Santa Barbara's most talented business owners and her incredibly creative and gifted now-husband to help create their marriage celebration.

Caroline Diani is known for her exquisite taste and her eye for beauty.  This penchant for all things fabulous was beyond apparent while coming up with the aesthetic for her wedding.  We had SO much fun turning Caroline's Pinterest images and ideas into tangible elements
for her and Jeffrey's wedding day.

A fun little floral note….We used plum branches pruned from my parents' ranch out in Goleta as a little nod to the couple's sweet lab, Plum.  Also a fun detail…Caroline collected the table linens and some of the silver candelabras and china pieces while on her travels to England prior to the wedding.  She also used vintage pieces of china that were her mother's as part of their table settings.  I often find myself caught up in the details, missing the emotionality of weddings, but for some reason, this one found me a little weepy during the planning process.  The day we did a sample of her prayer book (her father's), draped in an aqua rosary (her mother's) accented with Majolica roses and Lily of the Valley, I found myself tearing up in Caroline's driveway. There were so many intricate details that held such personal significance, photographs cannot even begin to encompass the underlying emotion of the day (although, don't get me wrong, Shannon Jayne Miller ROCKED the photos!).

We hope you enjoy the images below as much as we enjoyed being a part of the couple's big day!
Make sure you also check out the entire Style Me Pretty post!

Cheers to Caroline and Jeffrey! :)
