Happy New Year!!!
Ok, ok, Happy End of January! I have NO idea what happened to this month- I'm telling you, 2014 is on a mission to sprint its way to December! We've been so busy since January 1, there has been no time for resolutions, no time for diets (which is fine by us…we love food way too much over here), no time for….who knows??? What day is it again?
Anyway…..We've been waiting with baited breath for the following images to come out. We had the pleasure of having the opportunity to work alongside one of Santa Barbara's most talented business owners and her incredibly creative and gifted now-husband to help create their marriage celebration.
Caroline Diani is known for her exquisite taste and her eye for beauty. This penchant for all things fabulous was beyond apparent while coming up with the aesthetic for her wedding. We had SO much fun turning Caroline's Pinterest images and ideas into tangible elements
for her and Jeffrey's wedding day.
A fun little floral note….We used plum branches pruned from my parents' ranch out in Goleta as a little nod to the couple's sweet lab, Plum. Also a fun detail…Caroline collected the table linens and some of the silver candelabras and china pieces while on her travels to England prior to the wedding. She also used vintage pieces of china that were her mother's as part of their table settings. I often find myself caught up in the details, missing the emotionality of weddings, but for some reason, this one found me a little weepy during the planning process. The day we did a sample of her prayer book (her father's), draped in an aqua rosary (her mother's) accented with Majolica roses and Lily of the Valley, I found myself tearing up in Caroline's driveway. There were so many intricate details that held such personal significance, photographs cannot even begin to encompass the underlying emotion of the day (although, don't get me wrong, Shannon Jayne Miller ROCKED the photos!).
We hope you enjoy the images below as much as we enjoyed being a part of the couple's big day!
Cheers to Caroline and Jeffrey! :)
